unseasonable growth

for some reason, my lemon tree has decided to start growing again.

a little dwarf meyer, it is three years old and produced no lemons this spring. i was afraid it was stunted somehow (okay, stunted in a way other than it being a dwarf and growing in a pot) and would never bear fruit again. its leaves were turning yellow. it was really sad, but i still loved it.

randomly, last week, i started to see tiny, deep red leaves begin sprouting from the joints on its branches. today, there are tiny blossoms beginning to form amidst the leaves, which are now a strong citrus green. who knew?

isn't it november?
